CommuteBar

About

CommuteBar puts your driving, cycling or walking ETA to a saved destination directly in the macOS menu bar, so you can see traffic before you leave instead of opening Maps. You save places such as Work, Home or school, switch between them in one click, and the menu bar value refreshes with live Apple Maps travel time and any traffic delay. Recurring trips can be laid out on a weekly schedule so CommuteBar automatically tracks the right destination at the right hours and tells you when to leave soon or leave now, optionally with notifications. Route options include avoiding tolls or highways, and the menu bar readout is configurable with six icons and a compact minutes format. It is aimed at commuters and parents who want a zero-effort glance answer to 'when do I need to go?'.
