Insomnia keeps requests organised as collections you can commit to Git, with environments holding the values that change between local, staging and production. Requests are built in the same editor that renders OpenAPI and GraphQL documents, so a spec can be linted, edited and turned into a collection, and the response pane shows the body, headers, timeline and cookies beside a test suite that the Inso CLI can run in CI. Mock servers, a Scratch Pad that needs no login and team sync round it out. It is open source under Apache-2.0, the free tier covers local and cloud projects, and the paid plans add role-based access, SSO and SCIM, vault integrations and higher mock limits. It needs macOS 12 or later.
