1.1.10Latest
New
- Reminders before your free trial ends: a notification a week in and on each of the last three days, with a link to buy a license at justcopy.app.
Improved
- The menu bar's "Purchase a License at justcopy.app…" now also shows after the trial has ended.
1.1.9
New
- Try JustCopy free for 14 days: everything works from the start, no key needed. Then US$29.99 once — no subscription, no account. Settings → License shows the days left, and the menu bar reminds you in the last three.
Fixed
- Hovering the notch now opens the tray whatever app is in front. With Terminal in front, it didn't respond.
1.1.8
Improved
- Screenshots collected from your Desktop or screenshot folder now show their file name on the tile and in the preview.
- Erase History now tells you which smart folders, like Screenshots, it would empty before you confirm.
Fixed
- Images in your folders are never trimmed from iCloud to save space, so your iPhone and other Macs always get them in full. The iCloud limit now only trims images outside folders.
- In a narrow tray, the Rows and Tiles picker stays on one line.
1.1.7
Fixed
- A code now works after you fix a typo with Backspace: type #linkdn, delete back and finish #linkedin, and a space still turns it into the tile.
1.1.6
New
- Folder shortcuts: press ⌘⇧V and, still holding ⌘⇧, tap a folder's letter. The tray opens straight on that folder; let go and press 1 to paste its first tile. Every folder starts with a letter from its name. Hold ⌘⇧ in the open tray to see them, and change any letter in Settings → Shortcuts.
- Move to Front: right-click a tile in a folder and choose Move to Front. Up to nine front tiles stay first, in your order, however much you pin later, and show their number next to the pin, so the same key always pastes the same tile. Drag a tile to rearrange them: the others make room as you go. Right-click → Remove from Front lets one go.
- Codes: right-click a tile in a folder, choose Set Code… and give it a code like #allrepos, which becomes the tile's name. Type #allrepos and a space, and it turns into that tile. JustCopy only looks out for your codes while a tile has one, and nothing you type is kept or leaves your Mac. Codes work in almost any app you type in. They stay out of password fields and of apps where # is the app's own feature, like Notes, Slack and Notion; change that list in Settings → Shortcuts.
- Folder keys in the open tray: ⌘[ and ⌘] step through your folders.
1.1.5
New
- Collect screenshots: turn it on in Settings → General, and every screenshot you take also lands in the tray and a Screenshots folder. The file still saves where macOS puts it.
- Make it instant: an option under Collect screenshots that turns off macOS's floating screenshot preview, so each screenshot appears in the tray straight away. Turn it off to bring the preview back.
