About
Macsmith puts the command-line tools a Mac developer already runs into one native window: Homebrew packages and their services, local PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB servers, runtimes managed by mise and nvm, Lima virtual machines and Colima's Docker runtime, plus SSH keys, the hosts file, shell aliases, DNS lookups, mkcert, Caddy, ngrok, cloudflared, AWS profiles and rclone remotes. The free app inspects all of it, showing the state of each tool, and Pro is what actually installs, updates, starts and stops, with every change reviewed before it runs and verified afterwards. Needs macOS 14 or later, Apple silicon or Intel.
