About
MiaoYan is a native Swift Markdown note-taking app that keeps plain files in a folder you choose, so iCloud Drive or any cloud drive client can sync them. It offers a clean three-column layout, a split editor with live preview and synced scrolling, wikilink backlinks, LaTeX and Mermaid rendering, dark mode, and a presentation mode that turns notes into slides. Version history, auto-formatting and a small command line tool are included, and no data is collected. The source is MIT licensed and free on GitHub, with a paid Mac App Store version that receives the same updates. Needs macOS 11.5 or later.
