About
UTM is a QEMU front end that builds and runs virtual machines on the Mac: install Windows or Linux, boot a macOS guest, or emulate more than 30 processor architectures including x86_64, ARM64 and RISC-V. On Apple Silicon it uses Hypervisor.framework and Virtualization.framework so a matching guest runs at close to native speed, and falls back to full emulation when the architectures differ. Free and open source, with VMs created and managed entirely from the app.
