About
Edist brings Typst to the Mac as a real native app rather than a web editor in a window. Source sits on the left, the rendered page on the right, and incremental compilation re-renders only what changed, so the preview keeps up while you type and there is no compile button to press. Syntax highlighting and context-aware completion come from the Typst language itself, errors appear inline where they happen, packages resolve on import, and clicking a spot in the PDF jumps to the matching line of source. It also reads handwritten symbols and turns them into markup, which saves hunting for a symbol name. It needs macOS 15 or later.
