About
CodeLook is a Quick Look system extension for macOS that renders source files with real syntax highlighting instead of flat text. It parses seventeen languages, from Swift, Rust, C and C++, Go, Ruby and Python to CSS, JavaScript, JSX, TSX, Shell, Lua and the JSON and YAML family, using Tree-sitter grammars. Colours come from Zed-format themes, with more than 700 installable from the extension registry, and theming covers the background, gutter, line numbers and separator rather than tokens alone. A small companion app handles theme, font and wrapping settings, and previews keep working after you quit it. It is for developers who press Space on a file and want to actually read it, and it needs macOS 26 or later.
