About

Notchling puts a small animated creature in the MacBook notch. It watches your cursor, blinks, naps when you idle, and changes expression for battery, camera, Caps Lock and disk state. Drag a file, link, text or screenshot at its mouth and it holds the item until you drag it back out; right-click swaps the notch to a weather scene or music controls, and it can flag Claude Code agents that are waiting on you. The creature and the file holding are free, while a $12 one-time Pro unlock adds file conversion (JPEG, PNG, resize), on-device OCR of screenshots, timers, music and weather panels. It is for MacBook owners who want the notch to be playful rather than a full Dynamic Island clone, and it needs macOS 13 or later.
