Assist

About

Assist is a macOS utility that lives in the notch and bundles three screen workflows. Hold Option to draw over anything on screen while you talk, and Assist saves the annotated capture together with a locally transcribed voice note, so the image and the explanation stay together. Control + Option takes an immediate full-screen screenshot and drops a quick editor under the notch for cropping, blurring or framing it with a backdrop and rounded corners. Copied text and recent screenshots collect in one local shelf you can filter by All, Text or Images, then copy or drag into another app. Voice transcription runs on device with WhisperKit, and the app is aimed at people who send a lot of visual explanations.
