About

Gifski converts video clips into animated GIFs using the gifski encoder, which builds smart palettes across frames so each frame can use thousands of colors at up to 50 FPS. Drop in any video macOS can play, then adjust the dimensions, frame rate, quality, speed, crop and looping before you convert. A bounce option plays the clip forward and then backward, and a share extension plus a system service let you send videos to it from other apps. When a GIF is done you can copy, share or save it right away. Needs macOS 26 or later, with older builds kept on GitHub for earlier systems.
