macOS sends all of an app's sound to one output and gives you no way to split it. Patch Cable adds virtual audio cables, devices that exist only in software: whatever plays into one comes straight back out of its input, ready for another app to record, stream or process. It can also pull the sound out of a single app without touching that app's settings, take all system audio, or pass through a microphone or interface input, and Mute Original silences the app's normal output so its sound goes only where you route it. Routing keeps running from the menu bar with the window closed, devices switch on and off from there, and it can launch at login. It is for streamers, podcasters and anyone feeding OBS or a recorder from one specific app. Everything is free with no account or licence key; the only network call is a daily update check you can turn off. It needs macOS 14.4 or later, on Apple Silicon or Intel.
