PeakHour sits in the menu bar and measures each part of your connection separately: the Wi-Fi link, the router, the ISP and the path beyond. It keeps weeks of history and marks every outage, so you can see when a drop happened and which part failed first. It finds routers over UPnP or SNMP and alerts you when the connection goes down and again when it comes back. Version 6 adds an advisor that grades the connection and explains it in plain language, written on your Mac by Apple Intelligence. No account needed, a free trial and then $19.99 a year or $59.99 once, and it needs macOS 14.6 or later (the advisor needs macOS 26).
