RainDesk
v1.0Rain, snow and fog behind your Mac windows
Paid$3.99 one-time on the Mac App Store; no subscriptionmacOSUpdated on Sep 11, 2026
About
RainDesk puts a weather scene behind your windows: rain, snow, fog, drifting leaves or night, across 21 scenes and 12 visual effects. The overlay is click-through and stays behind normal windows by default, and you set intensity, opacity and volume from the menu bar. Seventeen sound layers mix underneath, optional 25- or 50-minute sessions let the weather settle and then clear near the end, and it can follow local weather through Apple Weather. It runs offline, needs no account and requires macOS 14 or later.
