Aphera

About

Aphera is a RAW editor for photographers who would rather shoot than wrestle with software. It runs its own imaging pipeline built for Apple Silicon, so previews of 100MP files appear instantly and a hundred of them import in about a minute. Color is where it leans in: a library of handcrafted Looks, thousands of built-in LUTs plus your own, Fujifilm's Eterna film simulations and cinema LUTs from ARRI, RED and Sony, with grain, halation and diffusion on top. Culling is keyboard-driven with ratings, rejects and groups, each shoot lives in its own project, and edits stay non-destructive through export to JPEG, PNG, TIFF or HEIF. It deliberately skips the catalog sprawl of Lightroom and focuses on sorting, grading and exporting a shoot quickly.
