About

NearDrop is an unofficial client for Google's Nearby Share and Quick Share protocol, so Android phones on the same Wi-Fi network can send files and links straight to a Mac. It sits in the menu bar, asks you to accept incoming transfers through a notification, and saves received files to the Downloads folder. Sending from the Mac works through the standard Share menu in Finder and other apps, with a QR code to pair when the phone cannot find the Mac. Transfers work over the local network only, without Bluetooth or internet relays. Needs macOS 10.15 or later.
